The City of London Corporation is the municipal governing body of the City of London, the historic centre of London and the location of much of the United Kingdom's financial sector. The City Corporation looks after and promotes the City of London. However, its role goes beyond that of an ordinary local authority. In addition to local government services for residents and City workers based in the Square Mile, we also manage: - More than 11,000 acres of green spaces, including Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest - The Heathrow Animal Reception Centre - Housing across London - A range of schools and academies - And we are London's Port Health Authority
