Assembly Hall Theatre - Grid Repairs

Notice Description

Following an assessment of the structural condition of the pulley grid structure of the Theatre site in February 2017, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to undertake repairs. The report investigated the condition of the grid structure and established additional loading from the original design. The feasibility of this additional loading and modifications are addressed in the structural report within the tender pack. The grid was surveyed from the ground, supporting roof, walkways around the structure and on the grid itself. As a result of the condition survey, items requiring attention have been extracted form the report and detailed within the specification as 'Key Recommendations'. The property fronts a busy main Road as indicated on the map below. Parking is heavily restricted in the immediate vicinity although provision from the council to park in Civic Way/Monson Way may be agreed. All communication in regards to this opportunity is to be made via the Kent Business Portal. Expressions of interest will be accepted via the portal until 12:00pm on Friday 12th January 2018, after which no further expressions of interest will be accepted. Interested parties are required to submit their tenders by 12:00pm on Friday 19th January 2018.
