Notice Description

Norfolk Museums Service, as part of Norfolk County Council, wishes to enter into a contract to fit out the main exhibition areas for the Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England project. The chosen contractor will provide services in accordance with the Specification of Requirements, Appendix 2. Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England is a four-year project to re-present Norwich Castle Keep, a 900 year-old-landmark on the city skyline. The Normans built the Keep as a palace fit for a conquering king. NMS is now regarded as one of the leaders in the museum sector and is a National Portfolio Organisation for Arts Council England. Norfolk Museums Service is a partnership between Norfolk County Council and Norfolk's district councils, funded through council tax, earned income and grants: www.museums.norfolk.gov.uk The project will transform the quality and depth of the visitor experience, through enhanced interpretation, immersive displays and innovative learning and engagement programmes for new and existing audiences.
