Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is currently conducting a tender for the Integrated Community Equipment Service (DICES) and All Age Consumables Service, which aims to provide essential medical equipment and supplies to support patients living within the Derby community. The procurement is in the open tender stage, with the submission deadline set for 19th February 2021. This procurement falls under the medical equipment and pharmaceuticals category, with a contract duration of up to 840 days for DICES and 1080 days for the consumables service, both featuring options for a 24-month extension. The services are primarily located in Derby, UK, and the initiative aims to enhance community-based care rather than reliance on residential or acute settings.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in medical equipment and logistics, particularly those experienced in supplying to health services. Companies that deal with personal care products, non-clinical support services, and medical consumables would find this an attractive prospect. The contracting authority values partnerships and is looking for capable providers who can efficiently manage supply chains and deliver high-quality service to various patient demographics in the community. This is an excellent chance for suppliers to engage in a collaborative service model aimed at improving health outcomes for Derby's residents.
