Summary of the contracting process

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is initiating a procurement process titled "MET POLICE__COUPA EVENT #37_Prior Information Notice (PIN) Supply and Delivery of new MPS RHIBs," which focuses on acquiring Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs). This is part of the planned stage of procurement and aims to gauge market interest as well as gather insights to inform an upcoming tender. Interested suppliers should note that the PIN will remain open until 18th March 2021 at 12pm BST. The MPS is based in London, UK, and the intended procurement falls under the goods category, aiming for a total value of £3,868,000.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in marine equipment and services, particularly those with capabilities in the manufacture and supply of police patrol boats. Suppliers who can demonstrate capacity and technical proficiency in producing new RHIBs, excluding off-plan or prototype vessels, will be well-suited to compete. Engaging with this early market consultation could provide firms with valuable insights and a chance to influence future procurement strategies of the MPS, potentially leading to further contracts.
