Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process, initiated by West Lothian College, focuses on acquiring Associate Trainer services for accredited qualifications in ICT, soft skills, and management development. This tender fell under the specialist training services category and was classified as a service procurement. The award was successfully completed on 27 January 2021 and involved a total contract value of £460,000. The service delivery was expected at the college's location in Livingston, West Lothian, and involved a selective procurement method, specifically a restricted procedure.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in training services, particularly those focused on ICT, management development, and soft skills. Companies that can demonstrate strong workshop delivery, effective reporting, and outcome-focused service delivery will be well positioned to compete. The anticipated high demand for these services means that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and training specialists can benefit from partnering with West Lothian College to meet educational and training needs within the community.
