Framework for the provision of General Repairs, Maintenance Services and Energy Improvement Measures
Notice Description
General repairs where the service is at capacity and cannot take on the additional work or where there are no in-house skills available to carry out the works. The works are in relation to residential and commercial properties, as well as outdoor spaces, including parks and land owned by the Council. The woks will include Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, fabric and general maintenance repairs as well as statutory compliance checks (Gas Safe, NICEIC, EPC). The specification also includes external wall insulation works (EWI).
Lot Information
Lot 1 - General Repairs
Responsive repairs i.e. day to day repairs that need a quick response time to keep properties in reasonable condition , statutory compliance checks and certification, mechanical and electrical works, routine servicing and bringing vacant (void) properties to a lettable standard, therefore the following is included: * Refurbishment of dwellings * Painting and decorating * Carpentry * Damp proofing * Glazing repairs and replacements * Works to structural and communal areas * Brickwork * Plastering * Plumbing * Roofing * Ad hoc renewal of components * Remedying vandalism, malicious damage or negligence * Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) * Gas Safety Checks * Electrical Safety Checks * Energy Performance Certification * Domestic Gas Systems * Mains Operated Smoke Detectors * Fire Alarm Systems * Internal Drains This is not an exhaustive list and there could be general repair/building requirements which fall outside of the above list.
Lot 2 Energy Improvement Measure InstallersThe service comprises installation of a range of energy improvement measures, including but not limited to: * External Wall Insulation * Internal Wall Insulation * Underfloor Insulation * Loft Insulation * Double Glazing Windows * Draft excluders.
