Summary of the contracting process

The Bank of England is in the planning stage of a procurement process aimed at replacing its current inspection machines with new single note machines at its facility in Debden, UK. The formal title of the tender is "Single Inspection Note Machine," classified under the business services category, specifically related to law, marketing, consulting, recruitment, printing, and security. Interested suppliers must register on the Proactis e-sourcing portal by 15 July 2021 to participate, with a deadline for confirmation of registration and communication of interest set for the same day by 2pm. Additional clarification questions can be submitted until 21 July 2021, and responses from suppliers are required by 2 August 2021.

This opportunity presents a valuable chance for businesses in the sectors of office and computing machinery, as well as printed matter and related products, to engage with one of the UK’s central financial institutions. Companies that can provide advanced technology solutions or consulting services in this field would be particularly well-suited to compete. The early supplier engagement aims to gather essential insights that will help the Bank of England refine its procurement approach, making it essential for suppliers to demonstrate their capabilities effectively during this initial phase.
