Summary of the contracting process

The North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) is conducting a tender for an "IT Equipment Reuse, Recycling and Disposal" framework agreement. This procurement falls within the services industry, specifically focusing on computer-related professional services, and is set to commence on 1st November 2021. The tender is currently in the active stage, having a submission deadline of 6th September 2021. The framework has a total estimated value of £10,000,000 and will be available for an initial two-year period, with options for annual extensions until 31st October 2025.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in IT equipment recovery, refurbishment, and recycling services, as institutions are increasingly seeking environmentally sustainable solutions. Companies specialising in waste management, IT support services, and environmental consultancy would be well-positioned to compete in this framework agreement. Participation can facilitate growth by enabling businesses to engage with a broad network of public sector organisations, potentially allowing them to expand their market reach and enhance their service offerings in line with sustainability goals.
