Summary of the contracting process

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has completed a public procurement process for the title "PSNI DAC 21/21 ACCESSPRO CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM SUPPORT", classified under IT services: consulting, software development, Internet, and support. This procurement was conducted as a limited award procedure without a prior call for competition, focusing on service requirements to enhance the Accesspro Case Management System. The contract was signed on 24 September 2021 and is active, with a total value of £180,000. The services are to be delivered at locations within the UK, with ongoing support expected until December 2023.

This tender presents an opportunity for IT service providers, particularly those specialising in software development and consulting, to engage with a public sector client seeking to upgrade and maintain essential operational software. Businesses that have experience with tailored software solutions and are capable of providing ongoing support and training would be particularly well-suited to compete for similar contracts with the Police Service of Northern Ireland and other public entities. The presence of a standstill period also implies potential for transparency and competitive bidding within such procurements.
