Summary of the contracting process

National Highways have completed the procurement process for a Pavement Delivery Framework, offering materials, plant, and labour for surfacing and pavement construction operations across various regions in the UK. The framework includes provisions for bituminous and concrete repairs, surface restoration techniques, paving, and other related services. The tender has been awarded across multiple lots to suppliers such as Tarmac Trading Limited, Aggregate Industries UK Limited, and other large-scale contractors.

This procurement opportunity can benefit businesses involved in highway maintenance, road repair works, and surface work for roads. Suppliers of materials, plant, and labour in the road construction industry, especially those experienced in surfacing and pavement operations, are well-suited to compete. The procurement method used was an open procedure, aiming to ensure transparency and fair competition among suppliers for this important infrastructure development project.
