Summary of the contracting process

The City of London Corporation is undertaking a Soft Market Testing (SMT) initiative for a Grants Management System, categorised under Customer Relation Management software. This planned procurement process aims to improve grant management and is currently in the planning stage. Interested suppliers are required to submit their completed SMT Questionnaire by 12:00 noon on 27 January 2022 to participate, which will take place via the electronic tendering system 'Capital eSourcing'. The opportunity is specifically based in London, United Kingdom, and the related procurement method involves a tender initiative.

This SMT presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, particularly those with expertise in grant management software. Companies that can offer innovative, off-the-shelf solutions to enhance the efficiency of grant management processes, integrate further functionalities, and support the City’s operational needs will be well-suited to compete for future procurement opportunities. Participation in this SMT may also position suppliers favourably for subsequent contracts, even if they do not formally respond to this exercise.
