This NPwPP meets the requirements of The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015; Regulation 33.1.a as no suitable bids were received for C0236-1.

Lot Information

North Region (West)

The core civil engineering works are the maintenance of the forest road network. There may also be requirements for new road construction, road upgrades, bridge maintenance, and temporary bridge construction. The Client may utilise this contract for these requirements where it anticipates being able demonstrate value for money, or where it has urgent requirements that do not allow time for an alternative procurement procedure to be conducted - for example, as a result of a phytophthora ramorum outbreak. The Client, however, reserves the right to conduct alternative procurement procedures for these requirements where there are substantial works relating to any of these requirements and/or an opportunity to demonstrate better value for money.

Renewal: With the option to extend for up to an additional 12 months.

North Region (South)

The core civil engineering works are the maintenance of the forest road network. There may also be requirements for new road construction, road upgrades, bridge maintenance, and temporary bridge construction. Procurement Information

This contract was awarded using the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication following the failed tender of C0236-1, an Open Procedure, which failed to receive any suitable bids. The sole bid received failed two technical responses. Using the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication, the sole bidder was invited to re-submit the two technical responses, which they then passed. The conditions of the contract remained the same as those in the previous Open tender exercise. This NPwPP is fully compliant with Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015; Regulation 33.1.a.
