Summary of the contracting process

Leicester City Council is managing a procurement titled "PAN2200 - Project Construction Professional Services Framework Agreement," which focuses on services within the architectural, construction, engineering and inspection categories. The framework agreement spans multiple UK regions including UKC, UKD, UKE, UKF, UKG, UKH, UKI, UKJ, and UKK. Originally initiated in March 2022, this agreement is expected to last for three years with an option to extend up to 12 additional months. The current stage of the procurement involves updates to awards and contracts, following the engagement of suppliers like Couch Perry & Wilkes LLP and Cundall Johnston and Partners LLP. Each framework lot has been awarded to a single supplier, with the main procurement process previously completed through a restricted procedure.

This framework presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for enterprises experienced in offering project management, engineering, and cost management services. Companies able to provide expertise in diverse areas such as programme/project management, engineering, and lift or building conservation could find the framework especially beneficial. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger firms stand to gain, given the comprehensive nature and geographical coverage of the framework, enabling participation in a lucrative market with a £22.1 million contract value. Engaging in this framework can foster significant business development, particularly within the designated UK regions.
