Summary of the contracting process

The "DOJDAC 10/22 - Extension of Clue Contract" procurement process, conducted by the DoJ - Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, is categorised under IT services, specifically focusing on consulting, software development, and support. The procurement method employed was limited, involving an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The procurement stage has now reached completion, with contracts signed on 14th April 2022. The primary location for service delivery is within the United Kingdom, and the total contract value stands at £312,375, covering services over a duration of three years from 2022/23 to 2024/25.

This tender provides a significant opportunity for businesses involved in IT services, especially those specialising in software development, consulting, and systems support. Companies equipped to compete would include those with expertise in security systems, particularly those familiar with bespoke solutions tailored to public sector needs. The exclusive rights held by Clue Computing Ltd for the IL5 security level system suggest that alternative suppliers would need to demonstrate technical compatibility and innovation to meet similar requirements in future tenders.
