Notice Description
The delivery of a digital preservation and storage service for Council archives. Dorset Council's Dorset History Centre is dedicated to collecting and preserving the rich heritage of Dorset and looks after council records as well as personal collections for Dorset Council, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. Dorset Council is acting as the lead procurer of the service on behalf of a consortium of other local authorities. Lot 1
Dorset Council is seeking a provider to deliver a digital preservation and storage service for its archives. The Council's Dorset History Centre is dedicated to collecting and preserving the rich heritage of Dorset and looks after council records as well as personal collections for Dorset Council, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. The Council is acting as the lead procurer of the service on behalf of a consortium of other local authorities. The list of current partners is: Dorset History Centre West Sussex Record Office Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre Oxfordshire History Centre Staffordshire Archives Berkshire Record Office Kent Archives Birmingham Archives Portsmouth City Council
Options: At the end of the initial contract period, there is an option to extend the contract for a further two-year term.
Renewal: At the end of the initial 3 year period there will be an option to extend for a further 24 month period, (subject to satisfactory performance and agreement from both parties), making a potential 5 year contract in total.
