Summary of the contracting process

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for E-Procurement Software, aimed at enhancing its procurement functions across various sites. The total budget for this initiative is set at £25,000. Interested suppliers must express their intention to participate by midday on 24th August 2022, following which demonstrations of the software will be arranged. The NMRN is located in Portsmouth, UK, and this procurement falls under the services category, specifically focusing on procurement software development services.

This tender presents significant opportunities for software development companies, particularly those specialising in e-procurement solutions and contract management. Businesses with experience in delivering integrated software systems that improve operational efficiencies and supplier performance monitoring would fit well within this bidding process. Engaging with the NMRN can facilitate long-term partnerships, as they regularly undertake various procurement projects to support their extensive operations in heritage and conservation.

Notice Title

E-Procurement Software (PIN)

Notice Description

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is an arm's length body under the Royal Navy and is funded by public revenues, and is therefore governed by the Managing Public Money principles and Public Contracts Regulations (2015). The NMRN undertake a variety of procurement tenders each financial year to support our sites and the work carried out on site, these can be from purchasing machinery for our Historic Ships Workshops, to large scale projects such as exhibitions design, build and install and a multi-phase large conservation scaffold for HMS Victory. To support our procurement functions across all NMRN sites the we are seeking an E-Procurement software solution to support our current procurement processes. In addition to this the NMRN would be seeking a Contract Management function also to help us monitor our suppliers' performance and ensure our records are complete and accurate.
