Notice Title
OBC2 - Further work to increase capability of MOD Secret IT RFI
Notice Description
Defence Digital is considering a procurement for a Technical Delivery Provider from a single supplier, providing DevSecOps resources with technical skill sets to an ongoing multi-year, multi-million pound project, within a wider project team. This Request for Information (RFI) serves as an early stage of market engagement, to gather information about the number of relevant suppliers available in the market, and their associated size. By answering this RFI, suppliers indicate their capability in this field and their potential interest in supplying resources to Defence Digital. There is no commitment from Defence Digital to procure any resources described herein, nor will this form serve as a means of selecting preferential suppliers for any procurement process that may occur. The remit of the Delivery Provider will be fully defined at the time of any ITT. The Delivery Provider would be procured as a large team (approximately 20-50 people), comprised of several smaller teams, each with a different focus and related technical skill set. These teams will likely change in size over the course of the contract, reflecting shifts in requirement priorities, and will be expected to work in an agile environment. The currently planned set of teams and a brief description of their roles is as follows: * Platform Team. Develop, deliver, and support a new build workspace hosting environment and the user access devices with which to access it. * Workspace Team. Develop, deliver, and support the new build workspace (desktop operating systems and client-hosted services) used by end users. * Services Team. Develop, deliver, and support the services used by end users and other services in support of the new build workspace. * Data/Apps Remediation Team. Transitioning historic services and associated secure data. * Operations Team. Supporting live services. The questions in this RFI are intended to assess the scale of appropriately skilled resources in the market and their availability for such a project.

"description": "It is important to note that this PIN/RFI is not a call for competition and as such potential providers will need to express an interest in any future tender opportunity once a contract notice is published on Find and Tender Service and on Contracts Finder. It should be noted that this PIN/RFI invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this RFI exercise only, and it is NOT part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This RFI is intended as an information gathering exercise. An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in the RFI process nor does it infer any preferential or special status on those individuals and organisations who express an interest.",
