Summary of the contracting process

The City & County of Swansea has completed the procurement process for the Framework Agreement for Water Main Repairs. This agreement, split into two lots - Commercial and Domestic, aims to repair and replace underground cold water mains in properties owned or managed by the council in various locations in Swansea. The Council intended to enter into this Framework Agreement with three contractors for each lot. The Commercial lot has already been awarded to Neath Construction Limited, S W Water, and LSV Water Ltd, while the Domestic lot is still open for bidding.

This tender opportunity presents significant growth potential for contractors specialising in water-main refurbishment construction work, works related to water-distribution pipelines, construction work for water and sewage pipelines, and mechanical installations. Businesses that can demonstrate expertise in quality project management and adherence to CDM Regulations 2015 with competitive pricing are well-suited to compete in this procurement process led by the City & County of Swansea.
