The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), part of the UK Ministry of Defence intends to award a Single Source Non-Qualifying Defence Contract valued at up to PS206K (EX VAT) with Shimadzu UK Limited ("the Contractor") for the Supply of a Shimadzu HPV-X2 Ultra High Speed Camera. It is considered that this Contract can be placed using the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication of a contract notice pursuant to Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii)) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for technical reasons. The Contractor, as the UK Office of the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the Camera has the technical designs, tools, knowledge and know-how necessary to provide this specific Camera, the Authority does not own the rights authorising them to share the essential technical specifications that other economic providers require to redesign.
