Summary of the contracting process

The Kirklees Council has completed the award of a Framework for the Provision of Temporary Emergency Accommodation. The procurement involves providing temporary accommodation services within the accommodation services industry category. The framework consists of four lots with specific accommodation requirements and locations, including nightly paid in-borough accommodation, nightly paid out of borough accommodation, self-contained in-borough accommodation, and self-contained out of borough accommodation. The procurement process has been marked as complete with specific details redacted for the public interest. The council allows for the extension of the framework for up to two further twelve-month periods until 2nd April 2028.

This tender provides an opportunity for businesses in the accommodation services sector, particularly those offering temporary housing solutions for vulnerable populations, to compete and potentially secure contracts with the Kirklees Council. Suitable providers should be able to offer high-quality accommodation tailored to the needs of homeless service users. Businesses with experience in managing short-term accommodation needs and licensed housing agreements under UK legislation would be well-suited to engage in this procurement opportunity. The contracts awarded under this framework agreement offer a chance for sustainable growth and partnership with a regional authority committed to providing essential services to the community.
