Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government has awarded a framework agreement for Interim IT Staff Services on a national scale. The procurement process was initiated through a tender with the title "Interim IT Staff Services - National". The main procurement category is services, with a focus on providing suitably qualified interim workers capable of fulfilling diverse skill sets. The buying organisation, the Scottish Government, based in Edinburgh, issued the framework for a maximum period of 48 months, with key award criteria including quality (60%) and price (40%). The award, valued at £124,000,000 GBP, was signed on 2023-05-10, involving multiple suppliers including Venesky-Brown, ASA International Ltd, Lorien Resourcing Ltd, and Harvey Nash Limited.

This procurement opportunity for Interim IT Staff Services offers a chance for businesses, especially SMEs and larger organisations experienced in providing IT personnel services, to compete for national contracts. The procurement method used was an open procedure, allowing a broad range of suppliers to participate. Businesses interested in providing IT staff services must ensure eligibility to work in the UK and meet the specific requirements outlined in the framework agreement. The deadline for bid submissions and the details of the award process can create opportunities for growth and expansion for successful bidders, supporting the provision of IT services to public bodies in Scotland.
