Notice Description

The Wales Tourism Product Database (WTPD) is the database of accommodation, attractions, activities and events which supports product search on visitwales.com as well as supporting visibility of products on other platforms and websites e.g. on satellite navigation systems and on local authority tourism websites. . In outline the requirement will be for: 1. The provision of the Wales tourism product database covering accommodation, things to do (tours, attractions and outdoor activities) and events 2. One that supports our product taxonomy across consumer and B2B products (including travel trade and business events) 3. One that covers the provision of appropriate product information, contact details, images/video and social media 4. An API that supports integration with visitwales.com as well as third party sites that might want to utilise our product data 5. The migration of our existing database to the new system/platform 6.Supporting our grading and accreditation requirements and publishing products in line with their current status 7. Enabling the polling of major distribution channels and the ability to link a product listing with its TXGB listing and availability 8. First line customer support (Welsh and English) and ongoing technical support in line with development road map and any specific requirements 9. Appropriate management information and analytics - at the business and aggregate level 10. The provision of a user friendly product management system in both Welsh and English . Minimum requirements include but are not limited to evidence of information security certification and regular system penetration testing, quality assurance certification or equivalent, compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 to Level AA and ability to provide a service in line with the Welsh Language Standards.
