Notice Title

Geevor Cafe Refurbishment and Reconfiguration

Notice Description

Pendeen Community Heritage is seeking invitations to tender for a programme of improvement works to our onsite Count House Cafe. This is part of our funded project 'Geevor Cafe Reimagination, Improvement and new space creation'. Our funding was received as part of the Good Growth programme under 'RUR002 Strengthening Rural Community Infrastructure and Assets'. Our cafe kitchen was built to accommodate 20,000 people upon opening in 1997; we now welcome over 40,000 visitors a year. We plan to introduce a series of improvements on site to ease the pressure on our cafe kitchen and allow capacity for larger visitor numbers and external business opportunities.

All work will be conducted in conjunction with Geevor Tin Mine and Count House Cafe to ensure limited disruption and a cohesive work environment for all involved. The work will need to begin by Monday 4th November 2024 and conclude by Monday 23rd December 2024.
