The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in North Wales is progressing an expression of interest exercise for supplier demonstration days for trolleys. Through this Notice the BCU Health Board is hoping to learn what is possible/available in the market place as it shapes its strategy. Objective: To evaluate the suitability and functionality of Trolleys for the Electronic Prescription and Medication Administration (ePMA) system. Scope of Work: The Supplier is required to attend demonstration days across BCU Health Board to show Digital, Data and Technology teams and clinical end users the Trolleys designed for ePMA. The supplier is required to loan specified Trolleys to BCU Health Board to allow end users to test out the trolleys in the clinical environments across BCU Health Board areas. The evaluation by DDAT and clinical teams will focus on the following aspects: - Hardware Compatibility: Ensure that the Trolleys are compatible with the existing hardware used for ePMA. - Ergonomics: Assess the design of the Trolleys for ease of use by the healthcare staff, considering manoeuvrability and accessibility. - Connectivity: Verify that the Trolleys can seamlessly connect to the hospital's network for real-time data access and updates. - Security: Evaluate the security features of the Trolleys to safeguard sensitive patient information. - Maintenance: Determine the ease of maintenance and potential need for future upgrades. Expected Outcomes: - A comprehensive report detailing the findings of the evaluation. - Recommendations on the procurement or modification of the Trolleys based on the assessment. Timeline: The supplier should express their interest by 10th May 2024, demonstrations days dates will be confirmed once we receive suppliers responses. We are looking at scheduling days from week commencing: 20th May 2024 or week commencing 27th May 2024 or week commencing 3rd June 2024. The demonstrations will be across the following locations: Wrexham Maelor, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and Ysbyty Gwynedd. Additional information: This is an information gathering exercise which will help inform a future procurement procedure. However, dependent upon the responses, the BCU Health Board reserves the right not to progress the procurement. It is possible that further expressions of interest are issued after the initial responses have been considered.
