Notice Description

To design and provide illuminations for town centre schemes in the three major towns of Kirklees - Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Batley. The tender should include - the annual inspection and maintenance of the festive lighting product for the duration of the contract; the maintenance and annual testing of existing infrastructure (eyebolt fixings/anchor points, catenary wires and any other hanging fixings); and attendance at the switch on events in each town for the duration of the contract. All required features for each town centre are detailed in the Specification document (Appendix 1).

The Service is to design and provide illuminations for town centre schemes in the three major towns of Kirklees - Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Batley. The anticipated commencement date for the Contract is 2nd September 2024. The anticipated expiry date for the Contract is 2nd October 2027, with the option to extend for a further 2 years on a year-by-year basis. If all extension options are granted, the Contract will expire 2nd October 2029.

Options: The Contract will run for (3) three years with the option to extend for a further (2) two years on a year-by-year basis. If all extension options are taken, the total Contract period will run for (5) five years.

Renewal: There is the option to extend for a further 2 years on a year-by-year basis. If all extension options are granted, the Contract will expire 2nd October 2029.
