Garden Assistance Scheme & Ad-Hoc Garden Works 2025 - 2028, Motherwell
Notice Description
The requirements of this procurement exercise is to award a contract to an individual contractor to provide a Garden Maintenance Service and an Ad-Hoc Garden Works Service within 6 the Motherwell area within North Lanarkshire.
Lot Information
Coatbridge
The service will operate throughout the growing season between approximately March and November each year and will provide nine (9) grass cuts with reforming edges on two (2) of these visits; two (2) weedkills; and three (3) hedge trims at each property, each year. The service is predominantly provided to elderly and infirm council tenants, but it may also be provided to non-council tenants who meet the same criteria on a chargeable basis. The Ad-Hoc Garden Works is to provide garden works to properties throughout North Lanarkshire, including general tidying and maintenance within gardens, grass cutting, hedge cutting, tree pruning, reforming garden areas, clearance of debris and path clearing, on an ad-hoc basis throughout North Lanarkshire. This ad-hoc service is predominantly carried out in void properties, properties recently allocated through the void process, or provided as an initial one-off service to elderly or infirm tenants who have been assessed and qualify to be included on our Garden Assistance Scheme. Additional information: Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Renewal: The Council intends to include an additional 1 x 12 month extension period which can be utilised should circumstances arise that such an extension is required.
