Summary of the contracting process

Notting Hill Genesis, one of the largest Housing Associations in the UK, is managing a substantial procurement process titled "Repairs and Maintenance Works Framework." This framework, which falls under the services category of the repair and maintenance industry, encompasses Greater London and parts of the surrounding area. Initiated as a tender, the framework's procurement process involved an open procedure in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The framework is valued at an estimated £1.5 billion, highlighting its significant scope and impact. Initial stages of the tender process concluded with the awarding of contracts as of 7th June 2025 to several suppliers, including Ian Williams Ltd and Wates Property Services Limited. The contracts are active with stipulated durations up to 15 years for individual call-offs, allowing for possible extensions.

This procurement framework presents significant opportunities for business growth, especially for companies specialising in repair and maintenance services. The project invites both large and medium-sized enterprises, particularly those capable of handling large-scale and long-term service commitments. Companies involved will benefit from a stable flow of work and can leverage this framework as a springboard for expanding their footprint in the public sector, particularly in the thriving housing sector of Greater London. By offering both direct awards and mini-competition options under the framework, NHG opens doors for a competitive process that can drive innovation and cost-effectiveness among participating businesses. The flexibility within the framework facilitates collaborative ventures among skilled suppliers and can foster long-lasting business relationships within the industry.
