Notice Description
The University of York is pleased to invite tenders for the provision of Patent, Trademark and Intellectual Property Rights Services. We are seeking bids from experienced patent attorney firms, capable of dealing with intellectual property matters relating to research and development activity across four different specialist areas: life sciences, physics and engineering, chemistry and materials science, computer science and IT.The tender is therefore divided into four separate Lots to enable specialist firms to bid as appropriate: Lot 1 - Life Sciences; Lot 2 - Physics and Engineering; Lot 3 - Chemistry and Materials Science; Lot 4 - Computer Science and IT. Lot Information
Lot 1 - Life Sciences
This Lot covers the life sciences specialism only. Key areas are biotechnology (including synthetic biology, microbiology, plant science and agritech), pharmaceuticals and medical devices/technologies.
Options: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments. Option to vary the contract to include other specialisms/value-add services that may be offered by the successful tenderer.
Renewal: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments.
Lot 2 - Physics and EngineeringThis Lot covers the physics and engineering specialism only. Key areas include: Telecommunications, Quantum technologies, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Nuclear engineering and technologies, Creative and digital technologies, Equipment designs.
Options: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments. Option to vary the contract to include other specialisms/value-add services that may be offered by the successful tenderer.
Renewal: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments.
Lot 3 - Chemistry and Materials ScienceThis Lot covers the chemistry and materials science specialism only. Key areas include: Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Novel compounds, Novel materials, Novel processes.
Options: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments. Option to vary the contract to include other specialisms/value-add services that may be offered by the successful tenderer.
Renewal: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments.
Lot 4 - Computer Science and ITThis Lot covers the computer science and IT specialism only. Key areas include: Software, Artificial intelligence/machine learning, Algorithms, Computer hardware, Other digital technologies.
Options: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments. Option to vary the contract to include other specialisms/value-add services that may be offered by the successful tenderer.
Renewal: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments.
