Lot 1

Options: Tenderers must submit a Tender for the core requirement (Option A). Option A will form the basis of the tender evaluation. Tenderers must also submit pricing for Options B and C. Options B and C will be for information only purposes. The Council reserves the right to award Options B and/or C to the successful Tenderer or omit/amend works to the current tender information (where necessary). Option A - long section pontoon with facilities for public water taxi Option B - includes for 4 commercial berths Option C - includes for 8 commercial berths Within the Instruction Document, a list of risks have been identified that could jeopardise the satisfactory performance of the contract but because of their nature, cannot be addressed in the contract as awarded. The Council reserves the right to modify the contract if any of the identified risks materialise.

Plymouth City Council (PCC) are working on a project for the design and construction of a new pontoon facility located at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre, Plymouth. The purpose of this exercise is to introduce the project to the market; request market feedback to help develop project requirements and approach to the procurement; identify suppliers in the market; and gauge the level of market interest. PCC has made available the following documentation: 1) Project Overview 2) Request for Information / Expression of Interest If your organisation is interested in participating in this exercise, then please register your interest to access the above documentation via https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk - Project Reference DN771451. Please complete the questionnaire within the 'Request for Information' document and return it electronically via the Portal by 12 noon 2nd May 2025. Participation in this exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participation in any forthcoming procurement although the route to market (e.g. advertised or invitation only) is still yet to be determined, and the level of market interest received via this exercise may help inform this. This exercise and any associated documentation, including any subsequent pre-market engagement, does not form any part of the tender process or evaluation and as such, this implies no commercial commitment by PCC. It is purely investigatory in nature, although it may be used to assist PCC in deciding how to shape any resulting procurement. PCC reserves the right to clarify or seek further information from some or all suppliers that respond to this engagement exercise. Any further information surrounding this exercise will be made available to all registered parties via the Portal.
