Summary of the contracting process

The Sanctuary Housing Association is planning a procurement process for a Responsive Repairs and Maintenance Contract, covering regions including Manc/Liverpool/Lancs, Cheshire/Staffs, and North and West Yorks in the North West and Yorkshire & Humber regions of the United Kingdom. The contracting process falls under the category of Repair and maintenance services of building installations. Currently in the planning phase, formal bids are expected to be requested in June 2025 under the ConstructDPS Dynamic Purchasing System, with an anticipated contract award in August 2025, and contract commencement from 1st October 2025. Potential suppliers must be registered on the Local Supply Chain platform by the time the tender opportunity is released. Key service areas encompass responsive repairs, voids management, damp and mould treatment, and disrepair cases across a variety of property types.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in building maintenance and repair services to expand their operations in key UK regions. It is particularly suited for generalist suppliers capable of providing comprehensive maintenance services across multiple disciplines. Engaging with this tender could empower businesses to secure a place on the DPS framework, unlocking further work opportunities with Sanctuary and potentially other Local Supply Chain clients. Suppliers can compete by leveraging their expertise to meet the specifications, benefiting from sub-contracting allowances and gaining exposure in their industry. The contract has a projected value of £16,382,540, with a primary period of three years and the possibility of two single-year extensions, offering long-term growth prospects for successful bidders.
