Notice Description

Derby City Council (DCC) has a requirement to produce a range of materials to communicate messages both internally and externally. To help to meet this demand a new contract in the form of a Framework for Printing Services will be procured. The Council is looking for tenders from suitably qualified and experienced, providers for the following lots: Lot 1 - Standard and Large Volume Printing Lot 2 - Signage and Large Format Printing Lot 3 - Promotional Printing Lot 4 - Advertising Boarding and Installation Lot 5 - Vehicle Signage The scope for these lots will be further detailed in TD2284- ITT Part 3 Specification. Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) is underway in several areas across the country and may result in changes to council structures, service delivery and responsibilities, and geographical coverage during the life of the contract. For this contract it is anticipated that the effects of LGR may lead to an increased service demand or the need to extend provision to new areas or client groups. An additional estimated value of PS1,761,000 (Including VAT) to reflect potential future changes in service scope or volume linked to LGR. This is not committed spend.

Lot Information

Standard and Large Volume Printing

This includes, but is not limited to the full spectrum of printed materials such as posters, leaflets, booklets, brochures, flyers and NCR pads, in a variety of sizes and substrates complete with delivery.

Renewal: There will be an option to extend the contract for two, twelve-month periods, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract term is four (4) years (48 months)

Signage and Large Format Printing

This category covers the production of large posters, and signage display boards.

Renewal: There will be an option to extend the contract for two, twelve-month periods, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract term is four (4) years (48 months)

Promotional Printing

This category covers all types of point-of-sale merchandise and promotional, branded Items which are high impact low cost using the Councils logo or contact information or straplines to support a marketing campaign, product giveaway, or promote an event, and includes items like but not limited to: * Pens * Mugs * Tee Shirts * Tote Bags * Table Cloths

Renewal: There will be an option to extend the contract for two, twelve-month periods, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract term is four (4) years (48 months)

Advertising Boarding and Installation

Derby City Council possesses several advertising boards and frames across the city this category covers all the production and installation of advertising hoardings, posters, banners and signage. Suppliers will need to remove old signage and correctly dispose of the expired artwork.

Renewal: There will be an option to extend the contract for two, twelve-month periods, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract term is four (4) years (48 months)

Vehicle Signage

The supplier must be capable of providing a complete, end to end service for the full vehicle fleet of both Derby City Council and Derby Homes. Which included both light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) This service includes but not limited to: * Design and Consultation * Material Supply * Installation (Full wraps, partial wraps, and Chapter 8) * Maintenance and repairs (Repair and replacement of damaged sections)
