Summary of the contracting process

The buying organisation is Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, with the procurement managed by the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. The contract is valued at over £1.1 million and spans from 23rd July 2025 to 30th June 2026, with a specific focus on repair and maintenance services within the medical and precision equipment sector. This award stage is supported by the Welsh devolved regulations and central government authority, and the main supplier is Healthcare Matters UK Ltd, situating in Wrexham.

By securing this contract, a business can ensure ongoing engagement with key public sector organisations in the Welsh region and enhance their portfolio in the healthcare sector. The interim arrangement provides an opportunity for businesses capable of delivering high-quality services promptly, as the terms and conditions will be reviewed during the contract term to facilitate a seamless transition into a potentially extended procurement process in the future.
