Summary of the contracting process

The Mayor's Office for Policing And Crime is in the initial planning stages of a procurement process to establish a Building Works Framework across the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) estate. This opportunity falls under the construction industry category, including construction, repair, and maintenance services, and targets the UK region, specifically London. Interested suppliers are invited to participate in a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME), which includes a Supply Market Feedback Questionnaire due by 8 August 2025. The procurement will follow the Competitive Flexible Procedure as per the 2023 Procurement Act, with the main procurement stage scheduled to start upon conclusion of this engagement phase.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction industry players, with an estimated gross value of £360 million, to engage in high-value building and maintenance projects for a public authority. Businesses specialising in building construction work and related services will find this framework particularly lucrative, allowing them to secure contracts over an extended period, potentially until 2032. Companies ready to demonstrate their capabilities and responsiveness to public sector requirements are poised to benefit from the opportunities presented by this multi-lot framework. The Mayor's Office for Policing And Crime encourages suppliers to leverage their expertise to contribute to the MPS's infrastructure development through this forward-looking procurement initiative.
