Community Dental Electronic Patient Records and Digital X - Ray
Notice Description
The Service requires a dental specific digital software system and digital radiographs. This is to ensure that safe, effective and high-quality care is provided to patients, reduction in unnecessary administrative time and improve the ability to extract datasets and submit mandatory activity data to NHS Business Service Authority (BSA) and Dental Commisoners, thus improving overall efficiency. It will also ensure that the Service meets the NHSE requirements (Prerequisites - NHS England Digital) that all primary care dental services electronically submit all activity on completion of a course of treatment (COT) to the BSA, record dental activity via Snowmed-CT coding and be Patient Level Information and Costing System (PLICS) compliant. This pre-market engagement is to consult on the system specification which may result in a tender opportunity in the future.

This is market consultation under Section 16-17 of the Procurement Act 2023. The scope is to consult with the market on current system availability. The Trust require a demonstration of potential software/systems via Teams week commencing 18th August 2025, followed by predefined question and answer session.
