Summary of the contracting process

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), a central government public authority located in London, is currently in the planning stage for the procurement of HR onboarding software. The tender, titled "PR 2024 146 Provision of HR Onboarding Software," is listed under the IT services category, focusing on consulting, software development, and Internet support. An online engagement event is scheduled for 8th August 2025, where CPS will provide background information and discuss requirements. Interested parties are encouraged to register for this event, which is part of market engagement, though participating does not confer any advantage in subsequent procurement phases. The procurement method involves early market engagement with key milestones, and communication is planned to continue through early 2026 ahead of the planned contract period starting on 23rd September 2026.

This procurement opportunity offers significant growth potential for businesses specialising in IT services, database software, and HR solutions. With a gross contract value of £604,800 and a focus on innovative software delivery, the tender promises long-term collaboration, extending potentially into 2029. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially those adept at agile delivery methodologies and software customisation, will find this business opportunity well-suited to their capabilities. The integration with systems such as Oracle Cloud highlights a demand for firms experienced in software integration and IT consultancy, facilitating streamlined onboarding processes for future CPS employees.
