Summary of the contracting process

The ongoing procurement process for the "Case File Quality" project is being led by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, located at 169 Union Street, London. This initiative falls under the services category, particularly within the IT services sector, including consulting, software development, internet, and support. The contract is set to begin in April 2026 and end in late May 2026, focusing on enhancing operational policing through improved case file quality for the CPS. The procurement is currently in the planning update stage, with significant milestones including a Supplier MS Teams event on 23rd January 2026, the release of the Procurement Selection Questionnaire in early February, and a series of deadlines culminating in April. This tender is part of the broader Precise Policing Phase 2 initiative and will utilise a dynamic purchasing system.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those focused on consulting, software development, and internet solutions. The requirement for a robust, scalable case file quality solution to assist the Metropolitan Police Service presents vast prospects for companies adept at technological innovations in data handling and process improvements. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate. The tender's competitive nature, coupled with its focus on driving efficiency and compliance, promises significant potential for growth and long-term partnerships with the public sector for qualified firms. Participation necessitates membership in the Precise Policing Phase 2 Dynamic Market, with applications due by the end of January 2026.
