Summary of the contracting process

Manchester City Council is spearheading a significant procurement process titled "TC621 - North West Construction Hub High Value Framework 2027 - 2031," focusing on works within the construction industry. This initiative is currently in the planning stage and is set to cover building construction work across the UKD region of the United Kingdom, with a strong emphasis on works related to commercial buildings, social facilities, educational and research buildings, and infrastructure associated with transport and artistic performance venues. A virtual briefing session is scheduled for 11th November 2025, aimed at engaging both current and prospective contracting partners. Interested parties are required to pre-register for this invitation-only event.

This tender presents a prime opportunity for businesses involved in construction, architectural, engineering, and inspection services to expand their portfolio by participating in a high-value framework with a gross contract value of £1.2 billion. Companies that have the capacity to engage in large-scale projects and possess expertise in constructing a diverse range of facilities, including civic centres, healthcare, educational institutions, and transportation hubs, will be well-suited to compete. The framework agreement also promotes the sharing of best practices and collaborative engagement, ensuring alignment with the council's objectives and contributing to long-term business growth in the region.
