Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Education (DfE) is planning a market engagement as part of its potential new programme under the Education Estates initiative. This involves the procurement of construction consultancy services within the UK region. The project focuses on improving the condition and sustainability of educational buildings across England, engaging with entities responsible for these estates, such as local authorities and trust academies. The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, with a market engagement event scheduled for 2 December 2025. Suppliers interested in attending must register on Jaggaer by 1 December 2025 at 15:00. The process is associated with the Crown Commercial Service's RM6242 Construction Professional Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). This initiative falls within the 'services' industry category, specifically targeting construction consultancy services.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in construction consultancy and building sustainability services to engage in securing future contracts with the Department for Education. Companies proficient in construction technical advisory services, project management, and energy-related solutions are well-suited to participate. Being part of the CCS RM6242 DPS is a prerequisite, enabling businesses to potentially collaborate as strategic regional partners, delivering modular buildings and other infrastructure improvements. Attending the market engagement session will provide insights into programme requirements and timelines, thus helping businesses strategise their participation effectively. This could lead to substantial growth in business and networking within the education construction sector.
