Notice Description
The forthcoming competitive procurement will cover highways construction, maintenance and civil engineering works, including (but not limited to): - Protective coatings (e.g., steelwork/structures) - Road markings and associated traffic safety measures - Pavement testing services and materials investigation - Ancillary services: site traffic management, minor structures, drainage, and associated enabling works.
Lot Information
Planned Maintenance (Paving and specialist projects)
Paving Works: Regular resurfacing, patching, and renewal of roads, footpaths, cycleways, and paved public areas to maintain safety and usability. Specialist Projects: Targeted interventions for areas requiring unique materials, techniques, or compliance standards-such as decorative paving in town centres, heritage stonework, or high-spec pedestrian zones. Preventative Approach: Focus on extending asset life and reducing costly emergency repairs by addressing wear and tear before it becomes critical.
Carriageway SurfacingCarriageway Surfacing using Asphalt (bituminous materials), Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA), Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA).
Lining (including coloured surface overlay)The application of road markings and surface treatments that provide guidance, safety, and aesthetic enhancements on highways and paved areas.
Civils (Drainage works and specialist projects)Civil engineering activities focused on maintaining and improving highway infrastructure, particularly drainage systems and associated specialist works.
CCTV - Jetting/InspectionsCCTV inspections to provide visual evidence of pipe conditions, jetting to remove blockages and debris to prevent flooding and structural damage.
Highway StructuresThe construction, maintenance, and repair of structural elements that support or protect the highway network.
CoringAssessing the structural integrity and material composition of carriageways. Providing accurate data on layer thickness, compaction, and compliance with design specifications.
