Summary of the contracting process

On 2nd January 2026, Nest Corporation, a sub-central government public authority located in London, initiated a tender process titled "Brand Fundamentals". The procurement seeks services in the advertising and marketing category, specifically targeting the evolution of its brand expression both internally and externally. The procurement process, delineated as a competitive flexible procedure, invites submissions until 2nd February 2026, with the contract anticipated to commence on 1st April 2026 and span until 31st March 2029, potentially extending an additional year. The project involves two stages of evaluation, initially assessing tenders, followed by a scenario-based presentation for selected candidates. The procurement status remains active, with a gross estimated contract value of £660,000.

The tender presents significant business growth opportunities for organisations specialising in brand development and marketing services. Given its open procedure, it is accessible to SMEs and VCSEs capable of delivering a cohesive brand review and evolution. The process favours businesses demonstrating robust experience in cohesive brand expression, effective methodologies, and social value contributions. With major evaluation criteria including experience, approach, team capability, and social value alongside cost considerations, this tender is well-suited for companies looking to expand their influence in the public sector and secure long-term contractual engagement with Nest Corporation.

Notice Title

TEN-2526-031(PA2023) Brand Fundamentals

Notice Description

We're looking for a partner to review and evolve our brand fundamentals to support a cohesive and effective brand expression internally and externally to all audiences. Our external audiences include members - people who are saving with Nest through work; employers, who select to use Nest on behalf of their staff and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) like accountants and bookkeepers who support employers in setting up and / or running their workplace pensions. Our objective from this work is to come away with a new design language that's made up of a suite of brand assets and guidance that demonstrates how we show up for our audiences in a warm, human and relatable way. As well as our visual assets, we would also like our partner to provide guidance on brand architecture and naming conventions.
