Summary of the contracting process

The Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, has initiated a planning stage for the procurement of Vital Signs Monitors and Associated Equipment. This process aims to engage with the marketplace through a Preliminary Market Engagement Questionnaire. The procurement is categorised under medical equipment and related products. Interested parties are encouraged to participate in this market engagement exercise by completing and submitting the required questionnaire by 24th February 2026. This stage is crucial in collecting needed market information before the anticipated start of the contract in December 2026.

This procurement process offers significant opportunities for businesses in the medical equipment industry, particularly those specialising in patient-monitoring systems and general medical devices. Companies with expertise in these areas can leverage this engagement to showcase their capabilities and potentially secure a contractual agreement with a central government authority. Small to medium-sized enterprises focusing on innovations in vital signs monitoring equipment would find this opportunity particularly advantageous for expansion and establishing partnerships in public health care provisioning.
