Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Power UK PLC is orchestrating a comprehensive procurement initiative titled "Building Refurbishments", focusing on construction works across the UK. This programme entails refurbishing a series of office and depot properties to create sustainable working environments that align with future business needs. The tender falls under the construction industry category (CPV: 45000000) and covers various locations, including England, Scotland, and Wales, with a potential division into geographical lots. The tender is in the active stage, with a submission deadline on 14th August 2026 at 17:00. The process will be conducted through a selective procurement method, utilising a negotiated procedure with prior calls for competition.

For businesses, especially those in construction, building maintenance, and refurbishment sectors, this tender represents a substantial growth opportunity. Companies with expertise in comprehensive internal refurbishments, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, and creating modern office layouts would be ideally positioned to compete. Participation requires suppliers to express interest, qualify via the Additional Questionnaire (AQ), and register on the SPUK Go Supply qualification system. The successful tenderer will be engaged under an NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract and appointed as the Principal Contractor, making it a lucrative venture for experienced contractors seeking to expand their footprint in the UK market.
