Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is led by The Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales, awarded on 25th June 2026, with an active contract starting from 14th July 2026 until 9th April 2031. The contract, valued at £500,000 net, is for an "E-Recruitment Solution (All Wales)" to be implemented across the four Welsh Police Forces. This project falls under the services category focusing on IT services, including consulting, software development, and support. The direct award procurement method was employed for its cost-effectiveness and aligned with Welsh devolved regulations. Located primarily in North Wales, the system supports multi-job posting, applicant tracking, candidate screening, and reporting, offered in a bilingual format to accommodate the region's needs.

This tender presents significant business growth potential, particularly for IT service providers specializing in recruitment solutions and integrated system services. Businesses capable of delivering comprehensive e-recruitment solutions—which integrate with existing systems and offer bilingual capabilities—can benefit from this opportunity. The direct award method enhances prospects for suppliers with established solutions already embedded within similar organisational structures, encouraging medium-sized enterprises to leverage their existing expertise and competitive pricing strategies to secure such contracts.
