Notice Description

NRS must obtain a license to circulate news cuttings in order to continue to operate within the current legal framework. It is vital that we are able to review what comment is being made about the business across the UK and international media, in order to be able to provide appropriate advice and guidance on media relations.

Procurement Information

NLA media access is the only supplier of a newspaper cuttings license in the UK. The license allows NRS to read and circulate press cuttings relating to the business that are supplied from our media monitoring provider, currently Meltwater News. The license is a 'one stop shop' for NRS, the other alternative would be to apply for a license from every news provider in the UK to allow us to share news coverage. NLA media access is approved by the UK's news providers as the sole supplier of this license. Operating without the circulation agreement would result in NRS not complying with the current legal framework in the UK.
