Summary of the contracting process

Historic Environment Scotland (HES), a national agency, has recently awarded a contract for the "Trinity House Community Learning Programme". This procurement falls under the "Education and training services" category, with a specific focus on services aimed at local community engagement within the UKM region. The tender process followed an open procedure, ensuring wide participation, and was assessed predominantly on the quality of the proposal. The process completed with the contract being awarded to Nicola Wright Heritage Education on 12 June 2026. The procurement's primary objective is to develop programs both on-site at Trinity House and as outreach initiatives, serving diverse audiences including schools and community groups.

This contract presents substantial business growth opportunities for organisations specialising in community learning and heritage education, particularly those capable of delivering engaging educational programmes with a focus on heritage and maritime themes. Businesses that can demonstrate extensive experience in working with a variety of community audiences, including entities involved in local apprenticeships or work placements, will likely see competitive advantage. Given the tender's requirement for extensive collaboration with diverse audiences, businesses offering creative and inclusive learning experiences are particularly well-suited for such initiatives.
