Notice Information
Notice Title
Provision of Lone Worker Application and related Services
Notice Description
Royal Berkshire Fire Authority has a requirement for the provision of a 3rd party 24/7/365 monitored lone worker solution which could be either a mobile phone application, a stand-alone device, or a combination of the two, that allow alarms to be raised either discreetly or overtly and appropriate intervention, escalation to be made as required, in order to minimise any risks that working alone involves. The solution should be discrete, reliable and robust, simple and intuitive to use with minimum training. Alarm Receiving Company (ARC): The solution requires the provision of an ARC that monitors lone workers 24/7/365. The ARC can escalate an alarm received from a user to the highest Police response levels, where this is appropriate via Lone Worker Unique Reference Numbers (URNs). All incidents must be recorded and in line with GDPR requirements. The ARC must disclose network outages and the root cause of outages in a timely fashion.
