Notice Description
North Yorkshire Council is looking to enter into up to three contracts for the provision of Site and Event Security services across the County. This procurement will be broken down into 3 Lots: * Lot 1 - Site Security for Harrogate Convention Centre * Lot 2 - Event Security and Stewarding West * Lot 3 - Event Security and Stewarding East Market Engagement was carried out for this service alongside a number of other services in July - August 2025. Lot Information
Lot 1: Site Security for Harrogate Convention Centre
The Authority is seeking a supplier for the provision of a manned premises security service for Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC). The overarching aim of the Site Security Contract is to ensure the safe, secure, and well managed operation of HCC. The appointed Supplier must deliver a professional, proactive, and customer focused security service.
Renewal: Contract Duration: 01 January 2027 - 31 December 2030 Option to Extend: 01 January 2031 - 31 December 2032
Lot 2: Event Security and Stewarding WestThe overarching aim of the Event Security Services Contract is to ensure the safe, secure, and well managed operation of all venues, events and associated public spaces governed by the Authority in the areas of Harrogate, Craven, Richmondshire and Selby.
Renewal: Contract Duration: 01 January 2027 - 31 December 2030 Option to Extend: 01 January 2031 - 31 December 2032
Lot 3: Event Security and Stewarding EastThe overarching aim of the Event Security Services Contract is to ensure the safe, secure, and well managed operation of all venues, events and associated public spaces governed by the Authority in the areas of Scarborough, Ryedale and Hambleton.
Renewal: Contract Duration: 01 January 2027 - 31 December 2030 Option to Extend: 01 January 2031 - 31 December 2032

"riskDetails": "During the term of the contract, modifications may be required to keep services up to date with changes in Legislation relating to security services. The total estimated value of all three Lots is PS16,662,000 (inc. VAT). While an estimated value has been assigned to each Lot, the Authority reserves the right to allocate the overall value as it deems appropriate based on the demand for services over the duration. As this is a demand-led service, the Authority does not guarantee any set volumes of work under each contract."
