Summary of the contracting process

Wrexham County Borough Council is in the planning stage of procuring a Health and Safety Management System, with the intention of enhancing the management and reporting of health and safety-related incidents within the organisation. This initiative falls under the public authority sub-central government category and is governed by Welsh devolved regulations. The procurement, identified by the title "Health and Safety Management System," is currently in the planning phase and targets the electronic data management industry. It is intended to serve the UKL23 region of the United Kingdom. Key milestone dates include the submission deadline for market engagement responses set for 23 July 2026, and the commencement of the contract period from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2029. The estimated gross value of the procurement is £60,000.

This contract presents a promising opportunity for businesses specialising in health and safety software solutions, particularly those offering cloud-based or SaaS systems. Companies experienced in working with local authorities or public sector organisations and capable of providing robust integration with Microsoft 365 and other corporate systems may find this project aligned with their services. Those able to demonstrate competitive user licensing models, strong customer support arrangements, and efficient implementation timescales will be well-suited to compete in this upcoming tender. Engaging in the early market engagement process could provide valuable insights and potential advantages as the procurement process progresses.
