Notice Description

The University is undertaking Preliminary Market Engagement to inform the development of a future procurement for an integrated Curriculum Management, Timetabling and Scheduling solution. This engagement follows an earlier Preliminary Market Engagement exercise relating to a timetabling and scheduling system. Following consideration of market feedback and further review of the University's strategic and operational requirements, the proposed scope has been expanded to include curriculum management functionality with the intention of procuring a single, integrated solution. The University is seeking feedback from the market to help shape the procurement strategy, refine the requirements and understand current market capability. Suppliers who participated in the previous engagement, together with any other interested suppliers, are invited to participate. Participation in this engagement will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any subsequent procurement process. Planning Information

The University is looking to engage with the supply market for the purposes of: • Developing the University’s requirements and approach to the procurement; • Designing a procedure, conditions of participation or award criteria; • Preparing the tender notice and associated tender documents; • Identifying suppliers that may be able to supply the goods, services or works required; • Building capacity among suppliers in relation to the contract being awarded. The exercise will consist of: • Written responses to the areas of the response document identified as required; • One-to-one meetings with suppliers that have responded to this exercise via MS TEAMS. Meeting duration will be a maximum of 1.5 hours. Management of Engagement Activity: where there is significant interest in this pre-market engagement exercise, the University may limit the number of Participants invited to take part in certain activities such as one-to-one meetings or technical discussions. This is solely to ensure that engagement remains manageable and proportionate.
